The Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee voted to forward a recommendation to the full Board of Supervisors for a Type 42 (on‑sale beer and wine) license extension for Zsa Zsa Nail Spa, 543 Second Street.
Sergeant George of the San Francisco Police Department presented the police community‑needs report to the committee, saying the business has applied for a Type 42 license and that "if approved, this would allow them to sell beer and wine on sale." He reported no letters of support or protest and said the premises were in Plot 274, "which is not considered a high crime area," though the census tract is classified as an "undue concentrated area." The Alcoholic Licensing Unit recommended conditions including hours of service (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.), a minimum age requirement for servers, and waiter/waitress service on patios; Sergeant George said the applicant agreed to those conditions.
No members of the public spoke for or against the application during the public‑comment period. Supervisor Feuer moved that the committee send the item to the Board with a positive recommendation; the motion was adopted without objection.
The committee record shows the item will appear on the Board of Supervisors agenda on Sept. 19, 2017.
