Victor Young, the committee clerk, read the ordinance while explaining the nomination provision and the proposed change to the seat's qualifications. Chair Supervisor Hillary Ronan said the committee had heard the item the previous week and, after no public comment, made a motion to forward the ordinance with a positive recommendation.
Vice Chair Stephanie and Supervisor Marr joined Ronan in a roll-call vote approving the motion. The committee recorded the vote as unanimous and forwarded the item to the board for consideration.
The committee took no additional action on the substance of the ordinance and did not receive public testimony on the item during the meeting.
