Committee forwards three alcohol‑license recommendations to full Board

The Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee on June 29 considered three licensing items and voted to forward recommendations to the full Board without opposition.
Sergeant Kenny presented the Police Code Notification (PCN) report for San Francisco Wine and Cheese (141 Gulf) seeking a Type 21 off‑sale general license; ALU recommended conditions including hours of sale (10 a.m.–10 p.m.), limits on container sizes and a loitering prohibition. The committee opened public comment and, hearing none, moved to recommend approval to the full Board.
For Raton 927 (927 Post Street), Sergeant Kennedy reported six letters of protest but Central Station had no opposition; ALU recommended hours (7 a.m.–midnight) and limits on malt beverage alcohol content and container sizes. Applicant Cynthia Malabed described the restored building and said alcohol will be a minor part of a deli/grocery concept. After no public comment the committee forwarded the recommendation.
The committee also heard from Brian Sheehy, operator of Lark (29 Third Street), seeking conversion from a Type 47 to a Type 48 license to align operations and to restrict entry to 21 and over after conversion. ALU recommended operating hours and a prohibition on off‑sale consumption. The committee forwarded the recommendation to the full Board without objection.
All three items were sent to the July 12 Board agenda as committee recommendations.
