The Budget & Finance Committee recommended a resolution authorizing the mayor to cast assessment ballots on behalf of the City and County of San Francisco for three parcels proposed for inclusion in the Ocean Avenue Community Benefit District (CBD). Miss Bagan, who presented the proposal, walked the committee through a colored boundary map and identified the three parcels under Board jurisdiction: a portion of the Phelan Loop parcel, the library parcel, and a landscaped concrete area under a pedestrian overpass.
Miss Bagan told the committee the assessment total for the Board-controlled parcels is $11,295.49 and that the district-wide assessment budget is $239,578; she also confirmed the city-owned fire station parcel is included in the proposed assessment. She noted the PUC and the MTA would vote on the portions of the Phelan Loop parcel under their jurisdiction.
The committee opened public comment on the item and received none. The Chair closed public comment and approved the resolution with recommendation without objection. The Clerk indicated the findings and recommendation will go before the full Board of Supervisors in November 2010 for final action.
