Applicant Usama Manna, speaking on behalf of Soma Wines & Spirits, said the move is a short relocation "a couple doors down" intended to expand deli and food preparation offerings and noted the business has operated in the neighborhood for about a decade. "We're just expanding," Manna said, describing new made‑to‑order food options.
There were no letters of protest or public speakers opposed to the transfer during the committee hearing. A supervisor moved and seconded the item and the chair called for a positive recommendation to the full Board; the committee advanced the transfer without objection.
The committee's positive recommendation sends the matter to the full Board of Supervisors for final action.
