Chair Mark Farrell called the item and asked whether there were any additional presentations. Sean Kennedy of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) told the committee that staff had conducted follow-up outreach requested at the prior hearing, met with Supervisor Ronen, and checked in with approximately 11 nearby businesses; Kennedy reported those businesses were "okay" with the proposal.
There were no members of the public who offered comment on the sidewalk proposal. Supervisor Katie Tang made the motion to send the item to the full board with a positive recommendation; the chair said it would be taken "without objection." The committee did not request additional materials or a vote at that meeting.
Next steps: the ordinance will proceed to the May 23 Board of Supervisors agenda for final consideration unless changed by the sponsors or the board.
