The Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee unanimously advanced an ordinance May 7 to waive fees for up to four banners that Lawton Alternative School plans to post on city-owned utility posts commemorating its recognition as a California Distinguished School. Ray Law, speaking for Supervisor Tang's office, said the school plans to "post up to 4 banners" subject to Department of Public Works approval.
