Rules Committee recommends two other appointments to full board

The Rules Committee on Feb. 3 recommended two additional appointments to the full Board of Supervisors.
Clerk Victor Young read Item 1, which listed a motion to appoint Supervisor Catherine Stephanie to the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District for a term ending Jan. 31, 2021. Supervisor Mark moved the recommendation and the committee approved the appointment "without objection." The chair confirmed the item will be listed on the Board agenda.
Item 2 was a hearing to consider appointing a member to the Children and Family First Commission. Teresa Zagera, interim executive director of First 5 San Francisco, spoke to support Elaine Armstrong’s nomination, highlighting partnerships on maternal and child health and planned alignment of home‑visiting programs. With no public speakers on that item, Supervisor Catherine Stephanie moved to forward Elaine Armstrong’s nomination with a positive recommendation; the motion passed unanimously.
Both items will be placed on the Board of Supervisors agenda for subsequent action.
