Clerk called Item 2, a resolution proposing interim zoning controls to require conditional use authorization for indoor agriculture and related uses in PDR (production, distribution, repair) zoning districts. Laura Arvanitidis (Mayor's Office of Economic and Workforce Development) told the committee the controls were intended to start a thoughtful process to define indoor agriculture’s place in the city’s industrial land base but that community concerns had arisen and the Mayor's Office requested a continuance to the Jan. 9 meeting to work with stakeholders and return with refined interim controls.
No members of the public signed up to speak on the item. Supervisors agreed to continue the item to Jan. 9 and the motion passed without objection.
