The Rules Committee on Oct. 28 approved Treasurer's nominations of Amy Brown and Brenda Quy McNulty to the Treasury Oversight Committee for terms ending Sept. 30, 2023.
Amy Brown, who said she has already served one term on the committee, told the panel her background includes nearly 30 years financing state and local governments and running a women-owned investment banking firm; she described expertise in public finance, audits and investments.
Brenda Quy McNulty said she has more than 40 years in financial services with experience in fixed-income instruments and portfolio management and prior civic service on the Citizens' General Obligation Bonds Oversight Committee.
Supervisor Shamone Walton moved to amend the language on items 2 and 3 to read as approvals of the treasurer's nominations; the Chair took the motion "without objection," and both nominees were approved.
Next steps: The appointments will be transmitted to the full Board as recommended by the Rules Committee.
