The Land Use and Transportation Committee on Tuesday continued a resolution urging the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission to provide enhanced public-asset access to existing roads and trails in Peninsula Watershed lands.
Clerk Alisa Samara read Item 2 as a resolution authored by Supervisor Carlos Avalos and Supervisor Scott Wiener urging the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to enhance public access to roads and trails on Peninsula Watershed lands. Chair Malia Cohen noted Supervisor Avalos was sick and had requested a continuance to a future meeting.
The chair opened public comment. One member of the public said it would be better to speak on the matter when the item is actually heard; another briefly thanked the committee. Supervisor Wiener said he had not spoken with Supervisor Avalos and asked whether an April 11 date might work instead of April 4. The clerk advised continuing to the call of the chair because no special noticing was required. A motion to continue to the call of the chair passed without objection.
No substantive debate on the resolution’s merits, no amendments, and no roll-call vote occurred at the meeting. The committee will re-schedule the item at the chair’s discretion and likely announce the next hearing date through the clerk’s office.
