Rules Committee forwards multiple appointments and advisory‑board slates to full Board; implicit‑bias ordinance continued

Members described the committee’s past year and plans to focus on water access and health equity in communities most affected by sugary drink marketing.
- Implicit bias training ordinance: Supervisor Stephanie’s office requested a continuance of the ordinance requiring department heads and board/commission members to complete implicit bias training; the committee continued the item to March 18, 2019.
Clerks noted items acted on by the Rules Committee will appear on the Board agenda for formal action. Several supervisors encouraged applicants to remain engaged in civic service regardless of immediate appointment outcomes.
