Committee backs interim design‑control resolution for large projects in eastern neighborhoods

The author said the controls are intended to harmonize new large projects visually and physically with existing buildings, streets, open space and natural features and to address concerns raised by neighbors, particularly on the northern slope of Potrero Hill.
No planning department staff were present to present the item; the committee opened public comment (none) and then considered a motion to send the resolution to the full Board with a positive recommendation. A committee member moved and seconded the motion; the Chair announced the motion passed without objection and “without objection this motion passes unanimously.” The clerk noted items acted on at committee will appear on the Board agenda for Feb. 9 unless otherwise stated.
The resolution was forwarded to the full Board for consideration and any necessary follow‑up by Planning.
