Committee forwards several board reappointments and advisory appointments to the full Board

The San Francisco Rules Committee on Jan. 16 forwarded a slate of reappointments and appointments to the full Board of Supervisors.

Clerk announcements and individual items preceded motions in committee. The committee forwarded reappointments of Supervisor Hilary Ronan and Supervisor Sandra Lee Fuer to the San Francisco Local Agency Formation Commission (terms ending 02/04/2023), the appointment of Supervisor Catherine Stephanie to the Mental Health Board (term ending 01/31/2021) — from which Supervisor Stephanie was recused for the committee vote — and reappointments of Supervisor Sally Brown and President Norman Yee to the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District Board of Directors (terms ending 01/31/2021). Chair Asha Safai moved to forward each item with a positive recommendation; committee members recorded no objections and the items were ordered.

For advisory boards, the committee forwarded the appointments of Mike Petrica (seat 16), Margo Casillas (seat 17) and reappointed Gregory Dillon (seat 18) to the Graffiti Advisory Board, and forwarded the appointment of Sarah Souza to the Eastern Neighborhoods Citizens Advisory Committee for the unexpired portion of a two‑year term (transcript records the term ending as "October 1939" as stated). Applicants and endorsers spoke briefly in support; Supervisor Matt Haney and other members praised Souza’s housing and community‑development experience.

All forwarded appointments will be considered by the full Board at its next meeting; the committee transcript shows each motion was made and ordered without objection.
