Maria Bee (Chief of Victim Services) said the DA’s office processed 2,104 applications and paid $3.5 million in FY2007–08. Supervisors asked for demographic breakdowns of claimants; the DA’s office agreed to follow up and the committee forwarded the item with recommendation.
Item 7 was an amendment and extension of a retail concessions lease at the airport (Terminal 1 Boarding Area B) presented by airport representative Peter Nardoza; the committee recommended the resolution be sent to the Board with recommendation. Item 9 (SFUSD spending plans for FY2010 and rainy day reserve) was continued to the following week because the school district representative may not be available; public commenters urged attention to district real estate and local community uses for excess property.
Where formal votes or final Board actions were not recorded in committee, the committee typically forwarded items to the full Board with a recommendation or continued them for additional materials and review.
