The Rules Committee recommended forwarding Jada Curry’s appointment to the full Board with a positive recommendation. Curry told the panel she was born and raised in San Francisco, experienced youth homelessness, and has been involved in youth development programs including Enterprise for Youth. She said her experience gives her perspective on access to college‑readiness and career programs.
Supervisors asked about budget review experience and familiarity with DCYF’s five‑year grant cycle; Curry said she did not have formal budget experience but was eager to learn and would prepare for the role. Supervisor Yee and other members expressed support and moved to recommend her appointment to the full Board.
