At its Feb. 28 meeting the Rules Committee recommended several advisory-board appointments to the full Board of Supervisors.
Jordan Aquino was recommended for reappointment to seat 3 on the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Committee. Aquino cited work on equity metrics and local park projects including the Mother's Building at the zoo.
Connie Ford, vice president of the San Francisco Labor Council, was recommended to the City College Financial Assistance Fund Oversight Committee. Ford described past advocacy for City College and cited increases in full-time-equivalent enrollment, noting reports that FTEs were up roughly 15% to about 55,000 students.
Sarah Bahat was recommended for the Eastern Neighborhoods Citizens Advisory Committee after describing neighborhood and development experience, work with California College of the Arts and interest in the Sixteenth Street plan and neighborhood planning issues.
All three recommendations were advanced to the full Board without objection.
