Supervisor Weiner moved a combined motion to duplicate the file, continue one version to the call of the chair and amend the other to apply only to legally existing units and forward that amended version to the full Board with a positive recommendation. Supervisor Kim seconded. Without objection, the motions passed.
The committee's action preserves a path to address legal mergers quickly while allowing additional review of how controls would treat illegal units, DBI enforcement implications and potential implementation details.
