Committee continues two massage-related ordinances to May 4

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors' Land Use & Transportation Committee voted to continue two related items addressing massage-practitioner regulation and planning-code requirements for massage establishments to its May 4 meeting at the request of the author's office.
Deanna Quizon, speaking on behalf of Supervisor Katie Tang, told the committee the office is "continuing to develop the aspects of this regulatory program" and asked that both the health-code and planning-code amendments be carried over to May 4. Supervisor Scott Wiener moved to continue the items; the motion passed unanimously.
Because the request was made to allow additional development of program details, committee members did not take further action on the substance of the ordinances. The items will return to committee on May 4 for additional consideration or action.
