Budget committee sends dozens of items to full Board, votes to recommend several leases and fee changes

Following an extended public-comment period, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ budget committee moved multiple agenda items forward to the full Board and took recorded recommendations for several specific items.
Clerk and staff read dozens of agenda items covering building inspections, human resources and economic and workforce development. Mayor’s budget director Nannie Coloretti told the committee some departments were "very close to resolving all their differences" and asked for one week to finalize outstanding technical adjustments.
The committee made multiple procedural motions. It continued items 8 and 9 to the call of the chair and scheduled several items (including items 15, 16 and 46) for hearings next Thursday. The committee moved a package of items — including Nos. 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, 20–30, 32–36, 38–43 and 45 — to the full Board meeting on July 15 with a recommendation.
On specific roll calls, the committee recommended the lease for the Alameda Farmers Market (item 10) to the full Board. The clerk recorded: Ellsberg (Aye), Merkremi (No), Daley (No), Chiu (Aye) and Mikodrick (Aye); the item was recommended to the full Board. The committee also voted to move item 30 to the full Board with recommendation (a roll call recorded Ellsburn (Aye), Burke Reamy (No), Daley (No), Q (Aye); the motion passed). For item 42 — increasing the news-rack fee to $60 — the committee recorded Ellsburn (Aye), Merkremi (No), Daley (No), Chu (Aye) and McGodrick (Aye); the motion passed.
The committee recessed with two items (31 and 37) continued to a follow-up meeting on Monday, June 23 at 11 a.m. and routed many other items to the full Board for consideration on July 15.
The committee’s actions were procedural recommendations; final approval, amendment or rejection will occur at the full Board meeting as scheduled.
