At the conclusion of its agenda the Rules Committee completed several routine procedural actions.
The chair asked for and obtained a motion to excuse Supervisor Eric Marr from the meeting. The committee filed the hearing on the mayor’s transportation declaration of policy (Item 6) following staff presentations and questions; Deputy City Attorney John Givner said the mayor may still withdraw the measure but the committee cannot amend it at this stage. Item 7, an initiative amending the Planning Code related to affordable housing delivery, was filed at the sponsor's request because it duplicated another item. The reappointment of William Ortiz Cartagena to the Small Business Commission (Item 2) was sent to the full Board with a positive recommendation after the chair noted prior observation of his service.
With no further business, Chair Tang adjourned the meeting.
