Chair John Avalos opened the meeting and said items acted upon by the committee would appear on the Oct. 6 Board of Supervisors agenda. The committee considered the mayor's appointment of Linda Martley Jordan to the Children, Youth and Their Families Oversight and Advisory Committee (term ending July 1, 2017).
