Dennis Richards, nominated to another Planning Commission seat, told the committee about his neighborhood leadership and preservation work in Upper Market and the Market/Octavia process. Neighbors and civic leaders — including leaders from the Castro/Upper Market and Market Octavia CAC — testified that Richards brings pragmatism, coalition‑building skills and historic‑preservation experience. The committee amended and moved Richards’ nomination forward.
Bobby Wilson, nominated to the Board of Appeals, described her legal background including employment‑law work at the Legal Aid Society, pro bono work in marriage‑equality litigation and private‑sector experience. Lawyers and community members who worked with Wilson urged the committee to approve her appointment, praising her courtroom experience and commitment to fairness. The committee forwarded her nomination as a committee report.
