Rules Committee forwards three committee appointments: bicycle, parks and aging seats

The Rules Committee moved three board appointments forward on July 23.
Paul Wells, a Potrero Hill resident and longtime cyclist, described his experience organizing bicycle events and his interest in a balanced approach to bike policy. Supervisor Belia Cohen moved to appoint Wells to the District 10 Bicycle Advisory Committee seat and the motion was forwarded as a committee report without objection.
Dennis Moskofian (also recorded as Dennis Moskofian/Moscovian), a current Parks/Open Space Advisory Committee representative, reviewed his experience in prioritizing park acquisition and maintenance funding, and his work on strategic plan assessments for the Recreation and Parks Department. Supervisors praised his past service and moved his reappointment forward.
For the Commission on the Aging Advisory Council, Reverend Glenda Hope spoke on behalf of Patricia Spaniak, listing programs that Spaniak organized in the Outer Mission including exercise classes, brain-health lectures, and computer classes for seniors. The committee supported Spaniak as the District 11 representative.
All three items were taken without objection and will be placed on the Board agenda for final confirmation.
