John Fordham of the Department of Public Health told the committee the funding is new state money that will complement existing adult drug court services and support planning and implementation of a dependency drug court. Committee members asked no substantive follow-up questions; there was no public comment and the committee forwarded the resolution to the full board with recommendation.
