Committee backs reappointments to Commission on Community Investment and Infrastructure

The Rules Committee on Thursday recommended that the full Board of Supervisors confirm two mayoral appointments to the Commission on Community Investment and Infrastructure (CCII).
Mary Mondejar, who introduced herself as founder and CEO of the Filipina Women’s Network and a former member of the San Francisco redistricting task force, described her work with affordable housing projects and project financing while serving on CCII. Mondejar highlighted recent approvals and construction activity — including new housing units and artist studios — and said her experience on community and gender-equity initiatives would inform continued service on the commission.
Mara Rosales, a native San Franciscan who said she worked for many years as a deputy city attorney and served as general counsel at San Francisco International Airport, told the committee she had learned about major transactions and affordable housing during her CCII term and asked to continue serving.
Supervisors thanked both candidates and moved to forward the reappointments to the full Board of Supervisors with positive recommendations. The committee’s actions will be placed on the full Board’s December 9 agenda unless otherwise noted.
