Public commenters — including Julian Chang, Corinne Woods and Christine Pelosi — urged the committee to support Katz, citing her past leadership on same-sex partnership parity, stewardship of public resources, and a track record of listening to community members. Supervisors Tang, Campos and Chair Yee each praised Katz’s experience and recommended her to the full Board; the committee passed the recommendation without objection.
The recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final confirmation.
