Rules Committee forwards Tim Doherty to Bicycle Advisory Committee

When asked about shared-use sidewalks along the southern waterfront, Doherty described a stakeholder discussion and a BCDC-hosted meeting scheduled for the 30th to explore practical shared-use solutions.
Public commenters urged a review of bicycle laws and stronger enforcement of compliance, including lighting and helmet equipment checks at night. Supervisor Campos moved to forward Doherty’s nomination with a positive recommendation; the committee advanced the item without opposition and it will be heard by the full Board on May 1.
