The Rules Committee approved reappointments to two advisory bodies and forwarded the nominees to the full Board with positive recommendations.
For the South of Market Community Stabilization Fund Community Advisory Committee, the committee moved to appoint Christian Angoco to seat 4 and Alan Manalo to seat 5. Applicant Alan Manalo described nearly two decades of work and residence in SoMa and cited the stabilization fund’s grants that supported local organizations and anti‑displacement efforts. "I feel it's... a privilege and honor... to work with a very strong core group of members," Manalo said in his remarks.
On the Ballot Simplification Committee (three seats, three applicants), June Fraps, Betty Packard and Adele Fasic each described long service on the committee and their interest in reappointment; supervisors praised the committee’s role in making ballot measures understandable. Supervisor Scott Wiener moved to reappoint all three members; the motion was seconded and taken without objection.
All appointments and reappointments will appear on the Board of Supervisors agenda for final confirmation.
