Votes at a glance: Warner Robins council approves consent agenda, contracts, CHIP agreement and amicus brief

The Warner Robins City Council approved a package of consent and administrative items in a series of unanimous votes during its June 16, 2025 meeting.

The council approved the consent agenda (Item 2) and then approved a set of resolutions: an engagement letter with Symphonia (Item 4) for accounting and consulting services; an audit agreement with Nichols, Cauley & Associates LLC for the fiscal year ending June 2025 (Item 5); a natural gas facilities and transportation agreement involving Southern Company Services Inc., Georgia Power Company, and the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia for service to Mid-Georgia Cogent (Item 6); a Community Home Investment Program (CHIP) master agreement with the Warner Robins Development Authority covering new construction on Airmen Boulevard (Item 7); and a resolution authorizing participation in an amicus brief supporting the City of Milton in litigation now before the state Supreme Court (Item 8).

Motions were made and seconded for each item on the agenda and the council recorded 'Aye' votes that the mayor described as carrying unanimously for each action. On the amicus brief, Mayor LaRonda W. Patrick explained the underlying dispute concerns a judgment of $35,000,000 tied to a right-of-way planter that is now before the state Supreme Court; the council authorized participation in the brief in support of Milton’s appeal.
