High‑school renovations on track; district to post photos and timeline

Architects and the district’s project team told the Fayetteville‑Manlius School Board that the 2021 high‑school capital project is progressing on schedule and highlighted completed and ongoing work.

Erica Civetella of King & King Architects summarized summer completions — replacement of the turf field, track resurfacing, technology addition, renovations to the main office, nurses suite, counseling and staff lounge, boiler replacement, and hazardous‑materials abatement — and showed photographs of finished spaces. Work continuing during the school year includes an infill addition with a new cafeteria service line, a broadcast journalism ('Brojo') space, wellness center renovations, an auxiliary gym, courtyard and outdoor seating improvements, and replacement of the public‑address and fire‑alarm systems. Planned summer 2025–26 work includes targeted HVAC upgrades, House 2 ceiling and flooring work, auditorium and music classroom HVAC, skylight and roofing replacements, and window replacement on the north facade.

The project team said structural steel deliveries and covered‑walkway design will allow safer winter movements between House 1 and House 2; substantial completion is targeted for fall 2026. Board members thanked staff and contractors, asked that the project slide deck and photos be posted to the district website so families can see hidden work behind finished walls, and noted punch‑list items remain at some schools (Mott Road Elementary transfer work completed; punch‑list ongoing).
