The board presented certificates and recognition for entries in this year’s Lions Club Peace Poster Contest, highlighting student artwork produced around the theme "Peace Without Limits." Several students were recognized and awarded certificates; the board announced that Juliana Scaturra is the winner who will advance from the club level to district and state competition.

The superintendent noted awards from both the district and the Marlboro Milton Lions Club: a district $100 gift card, a $50 Lions Club check and an additional $100 gift card from Lions Club District MD20 earmarked for the students' art teacher to purchase supplies. Winners and participants were invited to pose for a photo at the meeting.

Board members and attendees offered congratulations during the presentation; no formal motions were required for the recognition item, which concluded before the superintendent’s report.
