Wantagh board opposes SED regionalization plan, notes Foundation Aid report and approves routine business

Superintendent John McNamara said the board has "come up pretty strongly in, against the the the plan" and has joined other districts in filing letters to the State Education Department (SED) and participating in an Article 78 proceeding to challenge aspects of a proposed regionalization plan the board says could risk a loss of resources to the district. McNamara said the state made some adjustments after feedback but "not as many as we would like to have seen."
