The Wantagh Board of Education approved a package of routine agenda items on Aug. 6, including minutes, financial reports, personnel approvals, contract and wage-rate items, and a donation from the Mandalay PTA.
During the meeting the board moved and seconded approval of minutes from July 2 to Aug. 6 and approved them by voice vote. Financial reports and budget transfers listed under F1 and F2 were moved, seconded and approved. Personnel items (G1), including the retraction/abolishment of a part-time school monitor position (G2), and various contracts and wage-rate items were approved as presented.
The board also approved a donation of $1,768.71 from the Mandalay PTA to purchase bike racks for Mandalay Elementary School and publicly thanked the PTA for the contribution.
Late in the meeting the superintendent introduced Addendum K, which contained one personnel item; the board moved, seconded and approved the addendum by voice vote. The meeting then concluded after a motion to adjourn was approved by voice vote.
