The Mineola Union Free School District Board of Education approved the 2024–25 Code of Conduct and a series of routine resolutions during its meeting.
The board took voice votes on a sequence of resolutions and consent-agenda items. Highlights: Resolution 7 adopted the district Code of Conduct (mover: Bridal Whitman; seconder: Stacy DeSilas). Resolution 12 authorized execution of a memorandum of agreement with an identified employee (dated 08/15/2024). Resolution 13 authorized initiation of a due-process proceeding related to an evaluation of a named student and denied the request for an independent educational evaluation. The board also acknowledged receipt of internal audit testing and risk-assessment reports previously reviewed by the audit committee.
The board approved the consensus agenda (Resolution 16), which included multiple personnel appointments and routine items; members congratulated newly appointed supervisors and staff. At the close of the meeting the board moved to an executive session to discuss negotiations.
