Board adopts consent agenda and formal board goals for the year

A board member described the goals as the framework for district work and said the administration and board incorporated initiatives discussed at a summer retreat. The member added that monthly updates from departments and buildings will show how the district is meeting those goals.
Board members asked whether the goals would be posted throughout district buildings and on the district website; administration said the goals would be posted on the website and that they could explore posting in the library. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded; the vote was unanimous, 5-0.
The board asked for regular updates on progress toward the adopted goals during the school year.
