Board approves KETS technology funds, energy project closeout, surplus sale and construction change order

Two nonoperational school buses received no bids; staff recommended salvaging usable parts and scrapping the remainder. The board approved awarding the Malibu to Becky Taylor by roll‑call vote.
Change order #80 — elementary school pump station: CMTA plumbing engineer Colin Kane presented a change order for the new elementary project that would install an in‑building pump basin discharging to an existing force main and increase pump horsepower (presenter stated an increase from 2 to 6). Board members approved the change order by roll call.
