At Indian Crest and Salford Hills, contractors reported excavation for foundations and stormwater controls, demolition of outdated elements, HVAC and sanitary repairs, and ongoing coordination with principals to create swing space. Administrators described plans to deliver some heavy or noisy work outside school hours, to provide parents and staff with pre‑opening walkthroughs, and to use carts for mobile art, music and library services during renovation phases.
Board members raised timing and safety questions (chiller replacement timing, rock excavation, temporary library arrangements). Operations staff said the chiller swap is scheduled across the winter heating season so the new unit is ready for the following spring/summer; contractors noted they will provide detailed schedules and work with building principals to minimize classroom disruption.
