Prineville council recognizes Little League state champions

The Prineville City Council recognized the Prineville Little League team and coaches after the squad won a state championship and competed at the regional level.
Coach Craig Eustat told the council the team is mostly 13–15-year-olds and that winning the state title was a milestone: “This year, we got it done,” he said. He described the team as one of the first boys’ baseball teams from the area to win state in that division and said the players gave the city something to celebrate. Councilors and parents offered congratulations and encouragement for the players to continue developing into high-school varsity athletes.
The recognition was ceremonial; coaches and several assistant coaches were acknowledged and the mayor congratulated the team.
