Pompton Lakes redevelopment panel presses Smith Properties to revise Colfax Avenue plan over easement, parking and retail tradeoffs

Malenaick said the easement is a threshold issue for financing. "Because without that easement, we'll never get a bank to finance this project. We'll never get title insurance on this project," he said, arguing the access would allow two levels of structured parking and safe entry to both levels.
