The Springville City Council approved the final fiscal year 2025 budget, adopting Resolution No. 2024-24 to set expenditures and transfers at $117,410,164.
City Administrator and Finance Director Bruce Bridal said the item before the council would formalize the tentative budget the council adopted earlier in June and that the tentative budget had been effective since July 1 while the Truth in Taxation hearing was held. "This is really just finalizing or formalizing the finalization of the tentative budget that you adopted in June that is currently effective as of July 1," Bridal said.
The presiding official moved to approve the resolution adopting the final FY2025 budget and the motion was seconded. A roll-call vote recorded "Yes" votes from Jake, Logan, Craig, Mike and Mindy; the resolution passed and the budget was adopted for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
Context and next steps: Council members and staff discussed earlier budget deliberations spanning several months and invited continued public engagement at planning and budget gatherings. The adopted budget will be implemented by city departments and reported through regular budget oversight processes.
