Board tables animal-cruelty amendment and continues Cedar Crossing applications for more work
Summary
The Board tabled the proposed cruelty-to-animals code amendment to Sept. 16 and continued Cedar Crossing plat and rezoning applications to Oct. 7 so the applicant can finalize a development agreement with staff.
City staff told the board two planning-related items require additional work and were therefore postponed.
Christina (staff) said the cruelty-to-animals amendment had been discussed in a prior work session and that the presenting staff member (Jesse) was not present; the board voted to table that item until the Sept. 16 meeting and to schedule a work session. Christina also reported that the preliminary plat and rezoning application for the Cedar Crossing development require more coordination on a draft development agreement; the board continued both items to October 7 to allow staff and the applicant time to finalize materials.
No policy decision on the cruelty-to-animals amendment or the Cedar Crossing applications was reached at the meeting; both items will return on the dates noted for further consideration.
