Harrisonville ' The Harrisonville Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to annex approximately eight acres of adjacent territory owned by David A. and Lisa K. Warden into city limits and to establish agricultural zoning for the property.
City staff (Christina) told the board that a public hearing on the annexation was held at a prior meeting and that the office had received no calls or emails opposing the application. "We haven't had any calls or emails, any questions on this application," Christina said, recommending the reading proceed.
The property was described in the ordinance as lying north of Twin Pines Golf Course and west of Chrissy Bend. Alderman Milner moved approval; the motion carried on a roll call where aldermen recorded aye votes. The council bill became Ordinance 3712 following the vote.
The board welcomed the new property owners to Harrisonville during brief remarks. Staff did not present a zoning map during the meeting; the ordinance record lists the property's zoning designation as agricultural. No financial or utility impacts were discussed on the record at the meeting; staff said there had been no public concerns since the public hearing.
The ordinance will be entered into the city's code and staff will coordinate implementation steps such as utility and address updates with affected departments.
