Harrisonville adopts FY2025 operating budget ordinance

City staff member Jeremy presented the budget and said there was "no change to the budget other than the correction mentioned last time, removing the higher expenditure from the electric fund." With no substantive questions from aldermen, Alderman Davidson moved to approve the ordinance and Alderman Chaney seconded.
The board conducted a roll-call vote; each member answered "Aye," and the clerk announced that Council Bill 63 is adopted as Ordinance 3713. Mayor Zering and council members thanked staff for their work on the budget and noted the months of preparation behind the document.
The ordinance puts the city’s operating plan for 2025 into effect and authorizes staff to implement the allocations and spending as presented. No amendments were made during the hearing and no public comment was recorded on the item.
