The Board of Aldermen on a unanimous vote approved a resolution authorizing the city administrator to execute a development agreement for the Cedar Crossing development between JWM Development, LLC and Birkin Development, LLC.
City development staff member Christina told the board the resolution mirrors the materials in the development packet and that engineer cost estimates were in line with staff expectations. "There were no other changes other than taking off the draft watermark," Christina said, adding that the engineers’ estimates matched what staff expected to see.
Alderman Doerhoff moved to approve the resolution and Alderman Turner seconded. The item passed by roll-call vote, with each alderman recorded as "Aye." The clerk announced the measure would be filed as Resolution 2024-31.
Board members asked no substantive questions during the presentation; staff indicated no revisions to engineering figures and confirmed the version before the board reflected finalized dates and ordinance numbering. The resolution authorizes the city administrator to execute the development agreement and directs staff to carry out the implementation steps described in the agreement package.
The board took the action after a short presentation and no public participation was recorded for this item. The resolution’s approval allows the city to move forward with the contractual steps outlined in the development agreement.
