Harrisonville selects Bridal Moody as next police chief; start planned for September

The city administrator told the Board of Aldermen the city has selected Bridal Moody as the next chief of police for the Harrisonville Police Department and that Moody plans to start in September.
According to the city administrator, Moody is a Missouri native with about 30 years of law enforcement experience in Missouri and Colorado, graduated from Nixon High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Missouri State University and a master’s in public safety leadership from the University of San Diego. The administrator thanked those involved in the selection process, including Chief Harris, Chief Sullivan and a 15‑member panel that interviewed finalists.
Council members expressed appreciation for staff work on the recruitment and said they looked forward to Moody’s arrival. Staff indicated more information will be distributed to the public ahead of the start date.
