The mayor invited local pastors and representatives—Pastor Brian Hedges, Jeff and Karen Shook and Kevin Jennings—to the front for a group photo and to receive proclamations on behalf of their churches.
The mayor said the proclamation recognizes the contribution of faith‑based organizations to the community’s well‑being and highlighted Hopewell Baptist Church’s long history in Harrisonville dating to 1835.
