At its Aug. 20 meeting the Warrenton Board of Aldermen approved multiple planning items recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission. The board unanimously approved the final plat for Westwood Farms Plat 1 (Bill No. 51-24). The plat covers 21.82 acres at 1106 Steinhagen Road for phase 1 of the previously approved subdivision, consisting of 37 lots out of a total 66 single-family lots previously authorized by the board on Jan. 16, 2024 (ordinance 28-34). Engineer Mike Myers of St. Charles Engineering described planned subdivision entrances and a monument sign at one entrance; staff confirmed the code compliance criteria for the record plat had been met.
The board also approved a conditional use permit (Bill No. 52-24) and a site plan (Bill No. 53-24) for MK Ranch Bar and Grill, a proposed 9,200-square-foot bar-and-grill at The Shops at Warrenton (Suite 2). Planning staff said the restaurant's bar component required a CUP in the C3 (highway commercial) zoning district; Planning & Zoning recommended approval and the aldermen voted 5'0 to approve both items. The applicant was not present to give an expected opening date.
Both planning approvals were recorded by roll call and passed without dissent.
