HR said the cohort includes paraeducators who moved into teaching roles, substitute teachers who have transitioned to full-time employment, 17 recent college graduates and several career switchers. The division highlighted mentor supports and lead-mentor responsibilities and said monthly mentor check-ins are required.
Board members praised the onboarding work and administrators for creating welcoming cultures that help retain staff. HR thanked central-office staff, administrators and lead mentors for coordinating the logistics, meals and professional development sessions.
