School division unveils nearly 90-page CTE Resource Guide and pathways

Culpeper County Public Schools introduced an almost 90-page Career and Technical Education (CTE) Resource Guide intended to help students, parents and community partners navigate CTE offerings and career pathways. The presenter said the guide includes program contacts, event highlights and program-specific pages that can be printed for outreach and advising.
The guide stresses that CTE is taught across multiple locations (CTEC, Culpeper County High School, Eastern View and Phoenix) and catalogs industry credentials students can earn. Presentation slides showed elementary/middle-school CTE introductory pages, middle-school elective offerings in agriculture, business and family & consumer science, and examples of pathways such as culinary arts leading to courses at CTEC.
The presenter credited a large team of CTE teachers and said the division currently offers more than 80 CTE courses and emphasized local industry connections and work-based learning. A QR code and a web link were provided for the guide; staff said the guide will be available on the division website.
Board members praised the guide as a useful resource for families and students exploring pathways into employment, enlistment or postsecondary study.
